Sinochem International received a score of 71 in the latest EcoVadis assessment, its best result since it began participating in the globally reputable corporate social responsibility rating. The score also places the company in the top 10% of assessed firms in the global chemicals products sector.
EcoVadis noted Sinochem International’s strong performance across environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Gains were most pronounced in sustainable procurement and labor and human rights, ranking in the top 3% and top 6% of the industry, respectively. In addition, the company’s carbon management was rated “Advanced”, while its ethics performance improved from “Good” to “Advanced”, both contributing to the overall score improvement in this year’s assessment.
