Sinochem International has raised its climate change score to B in the latest corporate assessment released by global environmental disclosure platform CDP, marking a two-level improvement from the previous year and placing the company among the leading performers in China’s chemical industry.
The upgraded rating reflects the company’s progress in strengthening its climate governance framework, advancing quantitative climate risk analysis and enhancing the transparency of environmental disclosures.
According to the detailed scorecard, Sinochem International received A-level evaluations in seven categories among the 16 sub-indicators assessed. These include governance, public policy engagement and industry collaboration, risk disclosure, and opportunity disclosure.
