On September 18, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission held an event in Beijing to unveil a list of top 50 ESG performers among Chinese SOEs. With its outstanding ESG performance, Sinochem International stood out from the 440 listed SOEs to become a component of the State-owned Enterprises ESG Pioneer 50 Index.

On July 20, Fortune China released the 2021 Fortune China 500 list 2021. Sinochem International ranked 212th with a total operating revenue of 54.162 billion yuan. Since 2010, Sinochem International has been shortlisted in Fortune China 500 for 12 consecutive years.

On July 13, Sinochem International issued a statement announcing the completion of the major asset restructuring.

Sinochem International (600500.SH) today released 2020 Sustainability Report. It is the 17th sustainability report issued in succession since 2005.

On May 18, Sinochem International held an investor briefing for business performance in 2020 and the first quarter of 2021 in Shanghai to showcase the company’s financial results and the progress of key strategic projects, and share future priorities and visions.

On March 31, at the approval of the State Council, Sinochem Group Co., Ltd. ( “Sinochem”) and China National Chemical Corporation Ltd. ( “ChemChina”) will undertake a joint restructuring. Under such a joint restructuring plan, the equity interests of both Sinochem and ChemChina will be owned by a newly-incorporated company (the “New Holding Company”), which will be established and wholly owned by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission on behalf of the State Council.

On March 9, the first batch of products from Sinochem International’s polymer additives plant in Thailand rolled off the assembly line, filling the gap in the production of rubber antioxidants in Southeast Asian countries.

On March 8, Sinochem International started the construction of bisphenol A (BPA) facility as part of the first phase of C3 (3-carbon) chemical project in Sinochem Circular Economy Industrial Park in Lianyungang City.

On February 9, the Board of Directors of Sinochem International won the Special Contribution Award for Board Governance at the award ceremony of 16th Gold Prize of Round Table of Chinese Boards of Listed Company.

On February 5, Sinochem International announced that it will acquire a 39.88% stake in Jiangsu Yangnong Chemical Group Co Ltd from Syngenta Group for RMB 7.597 billion.
