On December 12, Sinochem International announced its intention to acquire a 100% stake each from Sinochem Plastics Co., Ltd., Sinochem Jiangsu Co., Ltd., Sinochem Qingdao Co., Ltd., Sinochem International Chemicals (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. and Sinochem Japan Co., Ltd. The amount of the transaction agreement is no more than RMB 1.744 billion.

On the morning of October 29, the 2017 "Sinochem Cup" Lianyungang·Xuwei International Marathon kicked off in the Xuwei New Area of Lianyungang. On the day before the marathon, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Sinochem Fine Chemicals Circular Economy Industrial Park Phase I took place at the Petrochemical Industrial Base of Xuwei New Area, Lianyungang.

Sinochem International announced on the evening of October 9 that the company intends to transfer its 44.8% equity in Sinochem Xingzhong with RMB 875 million to a subsidiary of its controlling shareholder Sinochem Group. In addition, Sinochem International also plans to transfer 100% equity of Sinochem Logistics, and the proposed reserve price remains to be evaluated.

In the morning of March 15, Beijing, Sinochem International Co., Ltd. and Lianyungang Municipal People's Government formally signed the Framework Agreement on Cooperation in the Construction of Sinochem Fine Chemical Recycling Economy Industrial Park.With the presence of Sinochem Group Chairman of Board Mr. Frank Ning, Secretary of Lianyungang Municipal CPC and Director of Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee Yang Xingshi, General Manager of Sinochem Int’l Liu Hongsheng and Deputy Mayor of Lianyungang Wang Jiapei signed the framework agreement on behalf of the two sides.

During February 28th to March 3rd, the 18th China International Agrochemical & Crop Protection Exhibition (CAC2017) was held in Shanghai New International Expo Center. Shenyang Sciencreat Chemicals joined the attendee camp this year since Sinochem International attended with its affiliated enterprises - Sinochem Agro, Yangnong Chemical, Jiangshan Agrochemical & Chemicals as a unified brand. The four subordinate enterprises formed a unified brand and showed the customers worldwide the rich international agrochemical products and innovative results of Sinochem International, highlighting the effects of the brand scale.

On February 20 and 22, Sinochem Group Chairman Mr. Frank Ning paid respective visits to Bangkok and Surat Thani in Thailand and investigated the Sinochem Farm Care (Thailand) and TBH company, subordinates of Sinochem International. He has learned about the development of the enterprises on site and extended his regards to Chinese and foreign staff. In the 13th joint meeting of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), World Health Organization (WHO) and International Pesticides Analytical Council (CIPAC) in June 2016, dicamba presented by Yangnong was reviewed and approved by experts from Joint FAO/ WHO Meeting on Pesticide Specifications (JMPS) that it has been included in FAO standards.
