On February 18, Sinochem International (600500.SH) announced its subsidiary Jiangsu Ruiheng New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. will invest RMB 13.913 billion into the first phase of C3 (3-carbon) chemical project. It is a strategic business layout of the company, a major move to tap into the potential of China’s advanced materials industry.

Sinochem International ranks 75th on the 2019 Top 500 Best CSR Practice Chinese Enterprises, according to the rankings released at the 18th China Enterprise Development Summit held on January 11.

Sinochem International board approved equity incentive plan at its latest meeting in December 2019. Under this plan, 59.16 million restricted shares will be granted to 262 executives and employees, accounting for 2.18% of the company's total share capital. This is an important measure of Sinochem International to reform its incentive mechanism and the first breakthrough in equity incentives during the company's 20 years of listing.

On December 6, the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) Annual Awards 2019 was held in Shanghai. Sinochem International won the Best Shared Service Center of the Year award and the Best Robotic Process Automation Practice award, marking CGMA's recognition of Sinochem International for its practice and ability in the innovative application of corporate accounting management.

Sinochem International was awarded a top corporate social responsibility award in December for its outstanding performance in disclosing environmental indicators and continuous efforts to reduce environmental impact.

On November 18, Sinochem International CFO Qin Jinke met with the visiting Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister of Thailand Chalermchai Sri-On and his delegation at Sinochem International Plaza. Thai Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the leaders of the subordinate divisions of the Ministry and the Consul General of Thailand in Shanghai were in the delegation.

The state-owned chemical enterprise Sinochem International (600500.SH) won the “2019 Innovation Enterprise” award for its vigorous implementation of the innovation-driven strategy in recent years and its achievements in scientific research, green development, and many other aspects.

On October 19, Sinochem International held a groundbreaking ceremony for its reverse osmosis (RO) membrane plant with an annual production of 220,000 in Xiangshan, Ningbo. After the new plant is put into production next year, it will break up the monopoly by foreign companies in China's high-end membrane market and enhance China's core competitiveness in RO membrane materials across the world.
