On the morning of May 7, 2016, Sennics Co., Ltd. , a subsidiary of Sinochem International, joined hands with DyStar LP, a holding subsidiary of Zhejiang Longsheng Group Co., Ltd. (Lonsen), acquired rubber chemicals, NBR latex and other business assets (hereinafter referred to collectively as PANIT company) from Emerald Performance Materials LLC (Emerald). The signing ceremony was held in New York, the USA.

On June 23, Chairman of Sinochem Group Liu Deshu and Solvay CEO Jean-Pierre Clamadieu signed a cooperation agreement on proposed specialty chemicals. The two sides will promote eco-friendly production techniques of epichlorohydrin (ECH), an epoxy precursor, via glycerol.

On October 15, the signing ceremony of the tripartite strategic cooperation agreement between Sinochem Group, the actual controller of Sinochem Int'l, and Yangzhou Municipal Government and Jiangsu Yangnong Group was held in Beijing. On June 13, Sinochem International released an announcement of assets acquisition, stating to acquire a 60.976% stake in Sennics Co., Ltd. (Sennics) with no more than RMB 2.82 billion via its wholly-owned subsidiary Sinochem International (Overseas) Pte. Ltd. in Singapore.

Sinochem International announced on February 22 that it intends to add no more than RMB 1.634 billion yuan to acquire 61.66 million shares from Jiangsu Yangnong Chemical Group Co., Ltd. (Yangnong Group) and also plans to purchase 35% of the equities of SIAT with 192.56 million euro (or RMB 1.6 billion yuan) from GMG, a listed company in Singapore controlled by Sinochem International. On February 21, 2011, by entering into an agreement with STAHL Holdings, a Dutch fine chemicals manufacturer, Sinochem International obtained the exclusive distribution right for functional coatings produced by plants of STAHL Functional Coatings Business Division in China and other countries.

On November 29, GMG, a subsidiary of Sinochem International, and Teok KunZhujun Co.rporation, the shareholder of Teck Bee Hang Trading Co., held the contract signing ceremony in Singapore, according to which GMG and affiliated companies acquired 55% of Tech Bee Hang Trading Co.’s shares without any assets by debt issuanceby means of bearing debt. This indicates that GMG has finished its merger stage of acquiring Tech Bee Hang Trading Co., a Thailand natural rubber processing group, and the project drives into the integration stage.

After several laboratory tests and manufacturing technique and facility reforms, the TSR10CV under the independent development of Hainan Sinochem Rubber Co., Ltd has officially passed the authentication of Michelin Singapore. On Apr. 30, the parties signed the cooperation agreement on long-term volume production of the products.

On Sep 3, Sinochem India Co. was established in New Deli, marking a huge step forward achieved by Sinochem's oversea agricultural chemical project and laying a sound basis for the company to fully carry out its agricultural chemical strategy outside China.
