On the evening of July 10, 2019 Fortune China 500 in 2019 was released on Fortunechina.com. It is a list that measures the performance and achievements of the largest listed Chinese companies over the past year. With a total operating income of RMB 59.9.5657 billion, Sinochem International ranked 151st on the list. For the last 10 consecutive years, Sinochem International has been included in the ranking.

Sinochem International (600500.SH), a central chemical enterprise of China, released the Sustainability Report for Sinochem International 2018 on the World Environment Day. For the first time, the report explicitly defines “sustainable development” as part of the corporate strategy, highlighting Sinochem International’s determination to integrate business practices and social values and embrace sustainable development, while driving high-quality development with innovation.

On the morning of April 17, Jiangsu Ruisheng New Materials Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Sinochem International, held a groundbreaking ceremony for its 5,000-ton aramid project in the Yangzhou Chemical Industry Park.

On January 9, 2019 (Central European Time), Sinochem International Corporation (stock code: 600500) acquired Elix Polymers S.L., a European specialty engineering plastics manufacturer based in Spain. On the same day, all delivery procedures were completed in Madrid, and the first board and staff meetings following the acquisition were held. The transaction is reportedly the largest acquisition project completed by a Chinese-funded enterprise in the Spanish chemical industry in recent years.

November 30, 2018, Ningbo, China – Today, Sinochem International (SH 600500) and Ningbo Xiangshan County People's Government signed an investment agreement in Ningbo. Under the agreement, Sinochem International plans to invest a total of RMB 3.5 billion in constructing a production base and an R&D innovation center for membranes at the Xiangshan Economic Development Zone in Ningbo. As another important measure within the new strategic layout of Sinochem International, the project marks the official settlement of Sinochem International’s membrane business in Xiangshan and will become a platform to promote the R&D of high-performance membrane materials and industrial upgrading in China.

From November 7 to 11, 2018, Sinochem Health participated in the SupplySide West 2018 in Las Vegas. As the sponsor of the event, Sinochem Health made its strategic goal “Healthy Materials, Quality Life”, and the brand “Sinochem” known to more industry practitioners.

As the first China International Import Expo (CIIE) concluded, Sinochem International has also completed all its tasks at the Expo, including the signing of contracts with a total value of USD 1.18 billion.

China’s major chemical distributor Sinochem Plastics, a subsidiary of Sinochem International, is planning to participate in new material division and production to arm itself with industry advantage in the fast-evolving market, a company executive said.

On May 16, the ranking of Top 100 Pesticide Sellers in China 2018 was unveiled at the 5th Conference for Economic Operation Analysis on Pesticide Industry organized by China Crop Protection Industry Association. Four companies under the Agrochemical business unit of Sinochem International were on the list. Yangnong Chemical ranked No. 5 with sales of RMB 4.3656 billion, followed by Sinochem Crop, Jiangshan and Shenyang Sciencreat at No. 13, No. 18, and No. 56 respectively.

On January 19, at the first New Era Capital Forum organized by Securities Daily, the winners of the first edition of Golden Horse Awards were announced. Sinochem International was honored as the “Most Socially Responsible Listed Company” award.
