Sinochem International has introduced the world’s first Product Category Rules (PCRs) for coal and coke products. The announcement was made on June 6 at the 2024 Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo, during the Green and Low-Carbon Supply Chain Product Carbon Footprint Forum.

On April 3, 2024, Sinochem International participated in the launch of the “Green and Low-Carbon Supply Chain Public Service Platform” during the Green and Low-Carbon Supply Chain Construction Conference. Sinochem International, along with 19 other prominent domestic and international enterprises and institutions, signed a collective agreement as co-builders of the platform.

Sennics, a Sinochem International subsidiary, has been recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as a “Manufacturing Single Champion Enterprise” in its eighth batch of selections for its RT base product. This honor marks the third time a Sinochem International subsidiary has received this accolade in the chemical new materials sector.

Sinochem International’s additives plant in Thailand has achieved three major certifications: IATF 16949:2016 (automotive quality management system), ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management system), and ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety management system). Sinochem International’s Methyl Isoamyl Ketone (MIAK) product has been named an “Innovative Product in Chemical New Materials” in 2023 by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation.

Sinochem International’s subsidiary, Yangnong Kumho, has received ISCC PLUS certification for its epoxy resin products from SGS, a leading third-party certification body. This makes Yangnong Kumho the first domestic epoxy resin manufacturer to obtain this certification.

Sennics, a subsidiary of Sinochem International, has earned the prestigious Platinum rating from EcoVadis, scoring 80 out of 100 points. This places Sennics in the top 1% of over 100,000 global companies.

On January 2, Sinochem International’s HPPO propylene oxide facility at Sinochem Lianyungang Circular Economy Industrial Park started up successfully, connecting the entire process and producing high-quality products. The unit has a capacity of 400,000 tons per year.

In June 2023, the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) unveiled the inaugural IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards. Recognizing the significance of understanding these standards and harnessing the opportunities presented by ESG information disclosure, Sinochem International organized an ESG-themed training and exchange event on December 15, aimed to equip participants with the necessary insights on how to build new competitiveness in the ESG boom.
